Application Server 7.0
For QUICK AND EASY Persisting of Data.

THOUGHT Inc.®, The Dynamic O/R Mapping™ Company, announces integration of the new BEA Weblogic Application Server version 7.0 with the industry leader CocoBase® Enterprise O/R version 4, Object to Relational Mapping tool. Building and deploying applications on the BEA Weblogic Application Server 7.0 just got a lot easier by using CocoBase® for generating the dynamic persistence code. CocoBase's® revolutionary Dynamic Object to Relational Mapping™ architecture greatly simplifies the task of persisting relational data in Java based applications. The result is easy-to-implement solutions for managing enterprise-level data that can decrease database access development costs by up to 85%.

"CocoBase® steps the developer from mapping the data to generating the persistence code that quickly deploys to the BEA Weblogic Application Server for a results-oriented solution focused on J2EE developers," said Ward Mullins, CTO, THOUGHT Inc.®.

CocoBase® provides a complete and integrated solution to the developer that is standards based and open (i.e. non proprietary). Once the data is mapped, developers have a full range of choices for persisting their data on the BEA Weblogic Application Server, including Container Managed Persistence (CMP) & Bean Managed Persistence (BMP) Entity Beans, Session Beans, JSPs, Servlets and/or Dynamic Transparent Persistence™ (no CocoBase code required in the object).

CocoBase's® JMS based Caching, which is also integrated with Weblogic, provides clustered reliable data caching with performance increases of up to 50 times. CocoBase's® integration with Weblogic and the leading Java case-tools enables developers to use their tools of choice for an all-in-one engineering solution.

CocoBase's® persistence solutions are based on and follow the standards that are related to persisting data comprised of; EJB 2.0, JDBC 2.0, JMS 1.0, UML XMI 1.0, and JDK 1.4. Tool integrations include the following UML XMI Modeling Tools - Embarcadero Describe, Sybase Power Designer, Rational Rose, Together Control Center and the following Development Environments - JBuilder, Eclipse, IBM Studio & Visual Age, and Sun ONE Studio/Forte.

Straight-forward tutorials that guide the developer quickly through the steps of mapping data, generating dynamic persistence code and deploying to Weblogic are available for CMP, BMP and Dynamic Transparent Persistence™.
