THOUGHT
Inc.®, The Dynamic O/R Mapping(tm) Company, announces the new
release of the industry leading and award winning CocoBase®
Enterprise O/R version 4.5 Service Release 3. Now included is a
performance test suite that showcases CocoBase® performing at
speeds up to two times faster than raw JDBC issuing identical SQL.
Combining this amazing performance with the "Quick and Easy"
nature of developing on CocoBase® provides developers a compelling
tool for managing database access. The end result is CocoBase®
enables developers to cut the cost of database access development
by up to 85%, a significant savings for companies.
"For developers
using relational databases, CocoBase's® Dynamic O/R Mapping
architecture is an amazing solution," said Ward Mullins, CTO,
Thought Inc.® "The ability of CocoBase® to be faster
than raw JDBC issuing identical SQL statements clearly sets us apart
from any other solution for managing database access!"
New Version
details also include; 1) Updated model importers to simplify reverse
engineering Class / UML / DB Models into Maps, Inheritance and Navigation
models. This speeds up the process for leveraging existing work
and models, 2) Improved advanced cursor handling for stand-alone
and distributed dynamic transparent persistence that includes automatically
managed scrollable cursors, 3) Ability to unload a loaded Instance
and Graph/Model from memory for improved memory management. Together
these make it easier to handle large memory models and vast result
sets, 4) Updated integrations for current application server versions
including JBoss.
Developers can
easily use CocoBase® to persist the full range of data needs
on the J2EE and J2SE platforms in just a few clicks without the
need to hand-code JDBC, SQL, Java code, etc.
The main focus of CocoBase® is to provide a simple to use solution
that intuitively takes the developer from evaluation to successfully
deployed enterprise-level application in a reduced time frame. Available
are step-by-step tutorials for using CocoBase® that cover the
details of configuration all the way through to generating persistence
code. The thorough documentation combined with architectural mentoring,
sales engineering resources and rapid-response technical support
provides development teams with the level of service that creates
successful projects.
