of CocoBase® Enterprise O/R version 4.5 service release 7, the
market leader and award winning Dynamic Object to Relational Mapping™
tool shipping since 1997. CocoBase® continues to lead the industry
with important technology innovations that greatly simplify the
persisting and management of enterprise data. Technology enhancements
include additional advanced support for POJO Data Persistence, tight
integrations with the new versions of the Eclipse IDE, IBM WebSphere
IDE and IBM's DB2 Database. These improvements directly support

CocoBase®

the use of complex models with expanded aggregate support for models
that share a single database table. Easy use of customer reflection
and object accessor methodologies is available with increased extensibility
in the reflection system. Use of non-relational centric application
object models and ODBMS data is widened with increased support for
virtual primary keys in the CocoBase® implementation of POJO.
CocoBase®
is unparalleled in it's ease of use with new support for the current
version 3.0.1 of the Eclipse development environment and the IBM
WebSphere development environment version 5.1.2. Engineers are able
to add powerful enterprise-level data persistence to their applications
being developed with Eclipse and WebSphere. CocoBase® is available
directly from within the development environments taking advantage
of the simplicity of using Eclipse / WebSphere together with the
flexible and intuitive nature of CocoBase®.
IBM's DB2 database
gets improved support with the new version of CocoBase®. The
integration with DB2 has focused on improved performance and meta
data handling. Since CocoBase® is a layer between the database
and the application working directly with the JDBC driver, it is
able to provide many enhancements as well as extremely helpful solutions
to how data is processed with DB2. For example, the new version
of CocoBase® includes enhancements to update and error handling
for stored procedure meta data that improves the ability to map
to existing stored procedures. This also greatly increases the performance
of stored procedure meta data handling in an application with CocoBase®.
A key aspect of this integration is updated support for the latest
JDBC drivers that support DB2 saving engineers time in dealing with
the particular nuances of a new driver.
