Java Persistence API (JPA) Standard Gets Ease Of Use With First Commercial Vendor Certified JPA Implementation In New Version 5.2 Of CocoBase® From THOUGHT Inc.®

THOUGHT Diligently Confirms CocoBase’s JPA Support Is Complete and Fully Tested for the Major Commercial & Open Source Relational Databases Such as HSQLDB, IBM DB2, JavaDB, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and Sybase Enterprise.

San Francisco, CA - February 26, 2008

THOUGHT Inc. ®, The Dynamic O/R Mapping™ (ORM) Company announces the new release of version 5.2 of CocoBase®, the Technology Leading and Award Winning Object to Relational Mapping Solution focused on delivering high-performance JPA & POJO Data Persistence for Enterprise Development.  CocoBase® v5.2 includes a full and complete certification of both the required and optional JPA specification requirements.  As a commercial vendor, THOUGHT engineering was careful to complete the running of the JPA test compliance kit with CocoBase® on the major commercial and open source relational databases, including Derby which is the Sun Microsystems reference database for the JSR-220 EJB 3 and the JPA specification. This was important to do since customers use CocoBase® with these databases on their mission-critical applications that are required to operate in an expected manner.  The certified commercial and open source databases are HSQLDB, IBM DB2, JavaDB, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and Sybase Enterprise.  Please note that the open source databases have some limitations with SQL-92 compliance therefore the JPQL/SQL query syntax for JPA is not fully robust.

“The CocoBase® Solution delivers a standards based approach for persisting enterprise data with JPA that is fully tested and certified to operate in an expected manner on all major commercial relational databases.  This is critical when building applications that run the foundation of a company,” said Greg Baker, Director of Sales & Marketing, Thought Inc.®  “CocoBase® includes a simple to use workbench user interface for mapping and creating JPA classes which adds the key benefit of important productivity gains.”

CocoBase® has brought amazing ease of use to developers using JPA for enterprise development.  This has created clear productivity gains which directly help development organizations meet budgets and exceed scheduling deadlines.  The key to this accomplishment is being the only JPA Provider with a full suite of development and management workbench user interfaces that rapidly import, map, and then generate JPA POJO and Entity Annotated Java classes. For example, the new CocoBase Workbench preview and generate capabilities for Annotated Entity Bean source code are entirely unique and innovative approaches for developing enterprise-level JPA applications.  These user interfaces also do an excellent job of simplifying the quite complex technology needed to meet enterprise requirements that is under the hood, so to speak, of CocoBase®. In fact, the CocoBase® Solution is the only JPA provider to deliver the full range of internal and external enterprise persistence features with the required depth, flexibility and performance to successfully deploy large corporate mission-critical applications.  Additional assistance is given to the developer with integrations for Eclipse IDE and both CocoBase® JPA & POJO with the Spring Framework.

CocoBase® has consistently distinguished itself as the only “Enterprise ORM Solution” since it first shipped in early 1997.  Customers cut the costs of development by up to 25% and more with the commercial-based CocoBase® ORM Technology and Services Solution.  This provides corporate IT organizations a solution that gives back up to $3 for every $1 spent on CocoBase®.  This is why CocoBase® is used by over 300 customers worldwide including many key Fortune 1,000 companies.

Please proceed to the website to request CocoBase® to take advantage of this amazing solution now.
