CocoBase® v5.2 includes a full and complete certification of both the required and optional JPA specification requirements. As a commercial vendor, THOUGHT engineering was careful to complete the running of the JPA test compliance kit with CocoBase® on the major commercial and open source relational databases, including Derby which is the Sun Microsystems reference database for the JSR-220 EJB 3 and the JPA specification. The certified commercial and open source databases are HSQLDB, IBM DB2, JavaDB, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and Sybase Enterprise. Please note that the open source databases have some limitations with SQL-92 compliance therefore the JPQL/SQL query syntax for JPA is not fully robust.
